Pentagon Lied: American Military Casualties Triple From Those Reported on Iran Missile Attack

Does ANYONE in Washington DC tell the Truth?

Why did the Pentagon lie when they said only 11 American military members were injured during the Iran missile attack? Today’s news reports it was over three times that number (34) that suffered from Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI’s). I know those boys and girls officed in that funny-sided building in Washington DC do math with their shoes off, but that is quite a disparity from reality.

Did the top brass lie to the Commander in Chief about the extent of casualties, or did our President lie to us? After the first reports that some soldiers had been hurt, Trump referred to them as “headaches” and said the cases were not as serious as injuries involving the loss of limbs.

The Dems and the Media had mounted a full-court press on President Trump and the Defense Department, warning Americans of a full-scale war if the Iran situation escalated. Was de-escalation more important than transparency?

Was this a strategy to give Trump cover to call off further retaliation? If so, how far would they/did they go to minimize the effectiveness of Iran’s attack?

If they lied about the NUMBER of service members with TBI’s, are they telling the truth about the seriousness and extent of their injuries? Have any of them died?

Why did they move some the injured troops to Germany, and others to the United States? Have any of these members of the military been allowed to be interviewed by the press? If not, why not?

Lots of questions need to be answered now that we know we were deceived right after the attack on our two Iraq bases.

The BIG question is why servicemembers stationed in combat zones arent better protected, when Pentagon studies have shown that hundreds of thousands of service members suffer from TBI (some of them in training). Anyone else remember firing the 106 recoilless rifle?

For years the Army has known there is an inexpensive preventive solution to many of these TBIs—a simple face shield on their helmets which could reduce blast pressure in the brain by up to 80 percent.

From a DoD study: ”In the current military conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, blast injury overwhelmingly is the most common wound etiology, and the incidence of survivors with brain injury has increased”

There is absolutely no excuse for not providing basic protection for our combat troops.

Here is a list of TBI symptoms from the US Dept of Health and Human Services. Remember, these problems may last for the rest of a military member’s life, and have been linked to depression and suicide.

Symptoms of Mild TBI

A person with a mild TBI may experience:

  • Headache
  • Confusion
  • Lightheadedness
  • Dizziness
  • Blurred vision
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Tiredness or sleepiness
  • A bad taste in the mouth
  • A change in sleep habits
  • Behavior or mood changes
  • Trouble with memory, concentration, attention, or thinking
  • Loss of consciousness lasting a few seconds to minutes1
  • Sensitivity to light or sound
  • Nausea or vomiting2

Symptoms of Moderate or Severe TBI

A person with moderate or severe TBI may have some of the symptoms listed above. In addition, the person may experience any of the following:

  • Headache that gets worse or won’t go away
  • Repeated vomiting or nausea
  • Slurred speech
  • Convulsions or seizures
  • An inability to wake up from sleep
  • Enlargement of the pupil (dark center) of one or both eyes
  • Numbness or tingling of arms or legs
  • Loss of coordination
  • Increased confusion, restlessness, or agitation
  • Loss of consciousness lasting a few minutes to hours3

A person who suffers a blow to the head or another trauma that may have caused a TBI should seek medical attention.

Our men and women deserve better than this. President Trump, it’s time to step in and order the DoD to order these helmets with face shields.
