The Cook County States Attorney, Kim Foxx, now claims that the Jussie Smollett file was “sealed” inadvertently. Or deleted from the court files. Or something. And one of Smollett’s attorneys claimed he was attacked by men in “whiteface.” Sure. Whiteface.
Cook County clerk’s office tells @ABC they were shocked that no written motions were filed with the court in connection with today’s surprising dismissal in the Smollett case. On top of that, the case has been wiped off their database as if it never existed. pic.twitter.com/KFKJp9yt7h

Erased from the database? The story is now so convoluted with idiocy that anything was possible from the start. Kim Foxx, the District Attorney did not actually “recuse” herself from the case as first news articles indicated, according to the
New York Post. She kept her fingers in the prosecution from the beginning. The FBI is investigating the Smollett case, so if she is found to have been improperly involved, she could face up to 20 years in prison. But she also says the case was “sealed” inadvertently.
Wait. Sealed or erased? Which is it?
The Chicago police were so unhappy with the outcome of the case that they began releasing their files prior to the “sealing” of them. Two sections of their files were downloaded before they were cut off by the court. Those files clearly say that there was no video footage of Smollett’s so-called attack. There WAS video footage of the two Nigerians with very dark skin purchasing the ski masks and rope they told police Smollett asked them to buy- photos of that were released when he was arrested.
All 16 charges against Smollett were dismissed in exchange for 16 hours of community service with Rev Jesse Jackson’s organization and the forfeiture of $10,000 bond. Meanwhile, the Cook County prosecutor’s office was searching for any cases ANYWHERE that might be similar to Smollett’s case. You know, in case they have to justify themselves.
Sorry. No data so far.
One of Smollett’s attorneys, Tina Glandian, claimed he could have been attacked by two men in “whiteface.”
“Just to be clear, he only saw one of the attackers. One of them he didn’t see. He saw one through a ski mask. Again, he could not see their body. Everything was covered, and he had a full ski mask on except the area around the eyes…
There is, interestingly enough, a video. I think the police did minimal investigation in this case. It took me all of five minutes to Google. You know I was looking up the brothers and one of the first videos that showed up actually was of the brothers in whiteface doing a Joker monologue with white makeup on him. So, it’s not implausible. ” Tina Glandian
Interesting, isn’t it?
