Founder of pro-Trump social media site banned by Facebook for 30 days for writing “hmmmm….”

On Wednesday morning, Rob Raskin, founder of the growing 415,000-strong pro-Trump social media site ProAmerica Only, told the Conservative Firing Line by email that he was slapped with a 30-day ban by Facebook for writing “hmmmm….” in a comment on a post about an Imam whipping three boys.

Raskin reached out to us by email because he was unable to do so on Facebook, part of the Silicon Valley “axis of evil” now working overtime to restrict online conservative speech.

“I wasn’t sure what to make of the post, so I commented ‘hmmmm….’,” he said.

According to Raskin, Facebook said his statement “violated standards because if the post talks about abuse, we should report it, and not comment on it!!”

“They’re absolutely NUTS!” he added.

Incidents like this, by the way, were the inspiration behind “Banned: How Facebook Enables Militant Islamic Jihad,” a book published in 2016 by this writer and American-Israeli Adina Kutnicki.

Raskin said it appears to him as though the “globalists” at the social media giant once dubbed the “world’s most dangerous censor” are using George Orwell’s “1984” as a ‘How-To’ manual!”

It certainly seems that’s the case.  As we’ve documented here, Facebook has gone over-the-top with the enforcement of its Orwellian policies.  For example, the site once told a conservative user her profile picture of a lilac tree was “pornographic.”  Moderators also claimed that a picture of a 2012 Trump campaign button violated their rules on nudity.  The picture only showed his face.

There are many other examples as we reported herehereherehereherehere and here.

Recently, the New York Times said that a study of more than 1,400 pages of Facebook censorship “rules” revealed what it called “numerous gaps, biases and outright errors” in the way moderators determine what speech is considered appropriate for the platform.

It’s become more clear than ever:  Efforts like GOP Rep. Louis Gohmert’s bill and the Stop Social Media Censorship Act are extremely important and need to be passed.
