House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Monday that there would be “hell to pay” if Senate Republicans don’t pass a universal background check bill that was sent to them through her house of Congress.
“Some of the gun violence prevention groups have upped the ante even further to say that if this bill is not passed, Mitch McConnell and Republicans in the Senate and the president will have hell to pay,” Pelosi said at a press conference with other Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) according to The Hill. “So let’s save time.”
What courage does it take to pass legislation that will save lives? @SenateMajLdr McConnell must stop standing in the way of efforts to enact commonsense, bipartisan solutions to prevent gun violence.
