We urgently need your help

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Dean Garrison and I am the publisher of both DC Clothesline and DC Dirty Laundry.

Today I need to humble myself and reach out. The next 60 days are crucial for the survival of our little publishing empire. Can I call a couple of low traffic websites an empire? 🙂 OK well maybe not. It’s a small uprising. But it wasn’t always. As a historical fact, DC Clothesline was once one of the top-ranked alt news sites on the internet. We were bigger than Gateway Pundit at one time. That was a point of pride for me. But 100,000+ visitors a day have become 8,000 visitors on an average day.

We have been reeling since 2016 when the censorship came in earnest.

As previously announced, at the end of June, we are fighting back against censorship the only way I know how… by expanding.

When you are attacked you do not cover up and try to survive, you fight back HARD. That is the only path to victory.

So I’ve rededicated myself and am working 12 hours a day/7 days a week and trying to get this turned around. We are putting out so many posts, in so many places, that they just can’t block all of them. For now that’s the best I can do.

The first part of our expansion was to start the new site, DC Dirty Laundry. The new site isn’t hitting as many censorship roadblocks as DC Clothesline, which started in 2012. They will catch up to us and when they do we will start a third site. Revenues are solid and growing and we will be just fine in 60 days or so.

The second part of the expansion will likely not start before 2019. We plan to get into print publishing to make sure the word once again gets out without censorship. They can not censor your mail. Not yet anyway.

That will take a large amount of cash for high-speed mailing equipment. The money isn’t there yet. Baby steps.

As for the here and now… I am working 12-hour days for about $4 an hour.

Seriously.

That’s how bad it is for conservative and alternative media publishers now. I have 6 children and it is all we can do to put food on the table and keep gas in the car at the moment. We’ve been falling farther behind each month and our savings is almost gone. I’m sure most of you can relate to that. I’m sure most have been there if they aren’t there right now.

In 60 days we will start seeing payouts on the new site and those payouts should continue to grow each month. That’s how ad networks work. You earn revenue and get paid 30, 45 or 60 days later. Most of our new revenue is still 60 days out.

So in a nutshell things are going well, and we are sticking with the plan, but we still fight censors every day. How bad are they attacking us? I just opened a fundraiser at GoFundMe and it’s the third fundraising site I have worked with in the last 6 weeks. Paypal allowed me to raise about two hundred dollars and then cut me off without notice. They even froze my account and will probably keep the money. No explanation.

I switched to YouCaring and they allowed me to raise $275 before they closed us down. I found out later that they had sold out to GoFundMe. Their notices were sent but going straight to my SPAM folder. I had no idea it was coming.

So I’m asking you today if you can afford to help financially while we are moving forward. I don’t care if it’s $5 or $10 because every penny will help us survive while we are gaining momentum to survive in this world of media censorship.

I will find a way, but I sure could use your help today.
