Florida Gov. Rick Scott Sacks Brenda Snipes Ahead Of Her January Retirement

In mid-November in the midst of the fiasco that’s called an election in Broward County, Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes announced her retirement, but following such another poor performance and violations of the law, Governor Rick Scott, who was running for the US Senate, announced her “immediate” suspension on Friday.

“Every eligible voter in Florida deserves their vote to be counted and should have confidence in Florida’s elections process,” Scott said in a written statement to POLITICO. “After a series of inexcusable actions, it’s clear that there needs to be an immediate change in Broward County and taxpayers should no longer be burdened by paying a salary for a Supervisor of Elections who has already announced resignation.”

Snipes did not respond to Politico’s request for comment.

“Although I have enjoyed this work tremendously over these many election cycles, both large and small, I am ready to pass the torch,” she wrote in her resignation letter.

Brenda Snipes allowed illegal aliens, non-citizens and felons to vote.

According to Breitbart, she illegally destroyed ballots.

Three statewide races in Florida are headed to a recount and all depend on results from a county whose supervisor of elections has a history of losing ballots and breaking laws by allowing illegal immigrants and felons to vote, as well as illegally destroying ballots.

Broward County supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes’ office has admitted “they don’t know” how many ballots there are still to count.

Snipes’ latest failure to finalize Tuesday’s election returns days after the polls closed is also in violation of Florida law, which requires elections officials to “report all early voting and all tabulated vote-by-mail results to the Department of State within 30 minutes after the polls close. Thereafter, the canvassing board shall report, with the exception of provisional ballotresults, updated precinct election results to the department at least every 45 minutes until all results are completely reported.”

“It was a long time coming,” according to a person close to Scott’s decision. “Snipes had it coming to her.”

While her date to retire was set for January 4, 2019, Scott believes she should be punished for her years of negligence, law-breaking and mismanagement.

However, I ask, where is the punishment? She gets out with a significant pension, right? Reports are that is will be $130,000 in yearly retirement funds She already has one of those funded from taxpayers for working in Florida’s public indoctrination centers for 30 years to the tune of $4,336 monthly.

She ignored a court order, mixed invalid provisional ballots in with valid ones, and destroyed ballots, but don’t worry, a Democrat attorney says that doing so has nothing to do with fraud or corruption.

Additionally, federal prosecutors got involved.

There’s no punishment going on here. Scott needs to have this woman arrested and charge her with crimes against the people of Broward County before more people end up dead in Broward County over their corrupt voting practices.

However, I wonder if maybe Scott is simply taking the easy way out here because he has seen what happens to people like Beranton J. Whisenant, Jr., whose body washed ashore with “head trauma.”

Interestingly enough, Whisenant “had been working on visa and passport fraud cases, according to court documents.”

The question now is, will Brenda Snipes actually face justice for what she did? My guess is that it will all be forgotten by next election and she’ll milk the taxpayers till her dying day.

Until then, Pete Antonacci will be Snipes’ replacement.

“I know that Pete will be solely focused on running free and fair elections, and will not be running for election and will bring order and integrity back to this office,” said Scott in a statement.
