Kavanaugh Accuser Admits She Lied: It Was A “Ploy” & “Tactic” To Get Attention

Kavanaugh Accuser Admits She Lied: It Was A “Ploy” & “Tactic” To Get Attention

Of course, it was, but we aren’t talking about the lying accusations of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford that took center stage before the Senate Judiciary Committee.  We’re talking about the lies of Judy Munro-Leighton, a woman who not only lied about being assaulted by Justice Brett Kavanaugh but also lied about authoring a handwritten letter that was received by Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), which detailed allegations of sexual assault by Kavanaugh.

In the letter, Leighton wrote that Kavanaugh and his friend “sexually assaulted and raped me in his car.”

Just like Blasey Ford, Leighton provided no time frame for the alleged assault.

According to Business Insider:

“Jane Doe will get no media attention,” Munro-Leighton wrote in an email she sent later, according to Grassley’s office. “But I am deathly afraid of revealing any information about myself or my family.”

Investigators were able to find Munro-Leighton due to her “relatively unique name,” and determined she resided in Kentucky. According to their findings, they deduced that she was what they described as a “left-wing activist,” who is “decades older than Judge Kavanaugh.”

After being interviewed by investigators on Thursday, Munro-Leighton, who had never met Kavanaugh in person, “admitted, contrary to her prior claims, that she had not been sexually assaulted by Judge Kavanaugh and was not the author of the original ‘Jane Doe’ letter,'” Grassley’s office said.

“No, no, no. I did that as a way to grab attention,” Munro-Leighton said to investigators. “I am not Jane Doe … but I did read Jane Doe’s letter. I read the transcript of the call to your Committee … I saw it online. It was news.”

Munro-Leighton, who said she called Congress multiple times to oppose Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, also admitted she “just wanted to get attention” and that her actions were “just a ploy.”

“I was angry, and I sent it out,” Munro-Leighton said of her sexual assault allegation.

One would think this would open her up not only to charges of slander but also libel, but no one will end up doing anything.

In any case, it does appear that Committee Chairman Senator Chuck Grassley (D-IA) took Leighton’s lies serious enough to write to the FBI about them.

“The Committee is grateful to citizens who come forward with relevant information in good faith, even if they are not one hundred percent sure about what they know,” Grassley said. “But when individuals intentionally mislead the Committee, they divert Committee resources during time-sensitive investigations and materially impede our work.”

“Such acts are not only unfair; they are potentially illegal,” Grassley added. “It is illegal to make materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements to Congressional investigators.”

President Donald Trump chimed in on the lies too.

“A vicious accuser of Justice Kavanough [sic] has just admitted that she was lying, her story was totally made up, or FAKE! Can you imagine if he didn’t become a Justice of the Supreme Court because of her disgusting False Statements. What about the others? Where are the Dems on this?” tweeted Trump.

They are quiet Mr. President because they knew they weren’t true in the first place.  They were simply going along with the ploys and tactics.  They are Alinskyites after all.

Clearly, the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh were fabricated as there was no evidence and no corroborators to any of the allegations.

It’s a shame the Committee even gave them any consideration given the amount of time and lack of pursuit of justice by those leveling the accusations.
